Hey

So I have now done a installation script that setups the following on the dreampi:

Sending mail:
DC -> Unsecure -> Pi (Postfix) -> SSL/TLS -> Gmail (SMTP)

Receiving mail:
DC -> POP3 -> Pi (Dovecot) -> (Fetchmail + Procmail) SSL/TLS -> Gmail (POP3s)

I will do some more testing, then people can try it out if they want.

Sorry for the delay Dan ;)

Integrates Email software directly into the DreamPi more or less, It does away with the middle man, in this case the cmail server software

Sega Swirl, a free game that came with demo discs in the UK (And I believe also in the US) does online play, but it doesn't operate a direct player-to-player game. It instead uses emails. However email server protocols have changed since the early 2000s, and almost all email providers have security barriers that prevent the Dreamcast from being able to send and receive emails. Simply put the Dreamcast isn't designed to handle modern email protocols, rendering the entire email service useless.

What Shu has managed here is to patch the console via the DreamPi to allow the email service to function once again (According to the posts here, it's with GMail, don't know if other services will be available but it's unlikely to be a massive deal if not). This will allow you to read your emails from your Dreamcast (which is interesting in itself) which in turn allows Sega Swirl to operate once again.
