Special Announcement On The Future Of SEGANEWSWIRE.

Hello, I am the administrator of SEGANEWSWIRE.

Today SEGA SAMMY ordered webs to shut down SEGANEWSWIRE.

The old SNW url leads to the following -

http://www.webs.com/abuseFrozen.htm?uname=seganewswire

This is not the first time that SEGA SAMMY has tried to put us out of commission, however it is the first time that they have managed to do so successfully.

The site's history including the 1000+ articles and reports and the tens of thousands of comments posted by our readers have officially been deleted by webs at the order of SEGA SAMMY. None of this data is recoverable. It is lost forever.

I plan on speaking with Mr. Morris whom is currently engaged on a business trip later this evening.

We shall keep you up to date on what our next move shall be.

Watch this space.

Whoa, that's seriously sad to hear.

But why did SEGA SAMMY care so much about these rumours anyway? Seriously, deleting a whole site just because of speculations? Valid rumours or not, isn't that a BIT extreme? Way to go Sega, kicking the people still loyal to your hardware division.

Well, I hope you'll be able to rebuild the site. SNW was like... WikiLeaks just for Sega stuff after all!

Hello, Brian! Its me RE2010. I wanted to tell how sorry I am that SEGA ordered webs to delete your blog. I guess SEGA really means it when it comes to speculation.

From looking at the url, it would seem that SEGASammy got tired of the constant spamming, trolling and random content. These are issues that I asked you polietly several times during the past couple of days to address and take care of.

Hopefully, Mr Morris will be able to find a new host and launch a new and improved SEGANEWSWIRE without all the trolls, spam and miscellaneous stuff.

Anyway, welcome to DC-Talk. BrianH. Don't worry, everybody is cool here and mods are totally awesome. You wont be presucuted for speculating here. BTW, what about Haneda?

Yes, as long as it's all done in this section only.

From what it looks like, SEGA ordered webs.com to drop SNW it was time for Brian and Zach to find a new host.

Well at least that gotdamn "Hotline to Zach" feature is history. This thing was the main culprit to thier dwindling crediblity.

Brian, if your listening. Please don't allow anyone to just post on your blog, keep it civil. Ban all guests.

It would seem that the FGNonline forum is intact!

I'm already sending word to the users that SNW is history and that SegaLeaks is here.

I'm wondering why sega took it down, were the speculations there not far from the truth (that they still want to hide)??
