Earlier this year, SEGA filed a new hardware trademark called "KIDSPAD" and is planning on introducing a game tablet thats being passed off as a family friendly I-pad which will actually compete against 3DS and PS Vita.

Read my "SEGA files new hardware trademark" topic for details.

@Crazietrufis. Shimo is correct, Mike Hayes and SEGA West are only referring to porting VC and XBLA Sonic games over to Wii U. They aren't referring to an actual new Sonic title, SEGA is just talking about porting DLC over to Wii U from VC and XBLA.

Nothing to get in a twist over.

Kind of off topic, but wouldn't it be awesome if once you beat Sonic Generations, and after the credits, that they announce a new console? Maybe the KidsPad. That would make Sonic's 20th one to remember!

Yeah, it sure would.

Anyway, I suspect that SEGA is holding off on Sonic Generations' full press release in favor of KIDSPAD.

Also, watch for SEGA's upcomming arcade board SEGADRIVE, they are said to be designing a new console from it codenamed "Super System" or "NEPTUNE".
