MSR: My Speed Challenge Quest

I'm trying to beat the old Speed Challenge records from the 2001 Dreamarena competition.....

Instead of selecting the Speed Challenge option, I've made separate Time Trials so I can use Manual Gears with no ABS. However car (VX220) and driving conditions will remain the same. The Speed Challenge tracks are:

London/St James's Park/Long/Parliament Street South II
San Francisco/Financial District/Medium/Market West II
Tokyo/Shinjuku/Long/Higashi-Dori Kita II

Please feel free to join in, although these records are tough to beat.

Damn! That was fast. I'm horrible at racing games, otherwise I'd give it a shot.

Moving onto San Francisco....1'02. Only 0.7 sec out but very tough trying to improve from here!

Sub 1.02! Quite a few mistakes near the beginning too so the record now looks beatable.

EDIT 17/1/11: Now 1.01'546......competition time is now beatable but need a magic lap!

I was playing in VGA so didn't get the actual lap recorded. Although MSR's backgrounds look nice and crisp through an old PC monitor, I still prefer the game on SD television via RGB SCART.

No idea how to get close to the record at the moment!
