To confirm, there will not be any console ports of AGS in the forseeable future. The architectures are just too different, I'm afraid.

Creator of AGS said this in 2004

it uses directx or allegro

but there was a mac port

You start with the mac port has a hacky sdl render in it

http://www.agidev.com/tmp/EngineMac_fix ... _04_09.zip sdl version which could be ported it's mac so have to port it to linux then port it to dreamcast

sorry @Nz17 but i'm not a coder, i'm only a long-time gamer, DC and Commodore nut, and ScummDC passionate user;
nothing more, i can read c++ and other languages source codes, but i suck in compiling lol

porting the AGS to Dreamcast would be awesome, and about this i completely agree with Ian thought

Just found this interesting work in progress on GitHub, about ScummDC

This guy is trying to build a new Dreamcast backend, using KallistiOS instead of Libronin
he has released a first version to try (plain files or source code):

https://github.com/tsowell/scummvm-dreamcast/releases/tag/dcalt-v0.0.1

here also a readme of the project :
https://github.com/tsowell/scummvm-dreamcast/blob/dcalt-backend/backends/platform/dcalt/README.md

i'm doing attempts with this one atm, seems different way to put the gamefiles in, and to recognize them too...
i'll ask for a deeper tutorial :)

hope this will become a fresh restart of the ScummDC port
