@megavolt85 do you have a .ino for this or would you consider adding oled display module support so you can go all out and have the display saying something like VMU: 1/16 that would be so good and pretty easy to do in arduino :D

i have a couple of these lying around as well as one of the larger ones:

the dream would be to have it show the same as a vmu screen when in games etc.

fair enough :D
do you think adding support for that display module is something you would be interested in, i think you could use it to add some nice features and i'm sure it would be very simple for someone like you to do.

unfortunately, there are many fakes on STM32F103C8T6, which often do not work at all or work with partial functionality
I am considering upgrading to a higher quality processor with higher performance

that's sad to hear given i just bought one and i'm setting it up as soon as the M25PE16 arrives, but as you may remember i only want to set this one up as just a vmu emulator/dumper and will only have two tactile switches connected to the board so that is why it would have been nice to have at least the vmu number on one of those oled screens but it's not the end of the world without it i guess :D

as for other dev boards, i have used nodemcu's in the past and there very good and have a lot of features such as wifi so maybe look at something like that if it's suitable.

these are the exact ones i bought:
MakerHawk I2C OLED Display Module I2C SSD1306 Screen Tiny Module 0.91 Inch White 128X32 I2C OLED Driver DC 3.3V to 5V for Arduino (2 Pack)
and i'm using your ArcadeStick bin if that matters.

here is my new schematic i've drawn up, hopefully this is 100% correct and i have no issues with it :)

@megavolt85 if you were actually interested in perhaps adding support for the oled module and providing everything goes well with my setup using the ArcadeStick firmware when the M25PE16 arrives, i have put together a proper schematic in eagle and created a 3d render of the board i've designed.
let me know what you think:

in the board design i threw together i set the oled module to the following:
SDA = PB_7
SCL = PB_6
VCC = 3.3V
GND = GND

if all goes well and you're interested i will get it all setup and once it's confirmed to work i will provide the gerbers for anyone who wants them.
