Hi

I have a question regarding this
"using GDMENU loader for higher compatibility of gd-rom + cdi"

What is gd-rom+ cdi?
Is openmenu only GDI at the moment?

Regards

Not all dreamcasts can boot CDI.
GDI is most compatible. So it's better to use an image in GDI format for the menu.

Hey. I've noticed a few games won't add once in a while in CDI format.

Off the top of my head, XENOCIDER and Metal Slug.

Just gives an error, "Ignored/Not Added". Something like that. Any ideas why?

They can be added normally with the regular gdmenu surprisingly.

So I am not sure if this is the place to ask, but I will start here.

I work as a technician with Video Games New York and as you can see we do a lot to keep Indie Dreamcast games in circulation.
https://videogamesnewyork.com/dreamcast-games/

However, we also have two original Dreamcast kiosks we rent out and use for display. Currently we have a build with all the Indie games we retail on GDmenu, but we are hoping to move to a more stylized build through OpenMenu to allow customers to sample the breadth of indie games available in more attractive manner. I tried to do a build but most of our titles came up with the generic cover image and blank text description.

What would be the best way to add to the Asset Pack so that we can showcase the games we promote as well as the games we have coming out?

Here are the games we currently represent

240p Test Suite
4X4 Jam
Alice Sisters
Alice's Mom's Rescue
Arcade Racing Legends
Armed 7
Bang Bang Busters
Breakers
Captain Tomaday
DUX
Elansar & Philia
Escape 2042
Fade to Black
Fast Striker
Finding Teddy
FX Unit Yuki
Ganryu
Gunlord
Hermes
Intrepid Izzy
Last Hope Pink Bullets
NEO XYX
Orions Puzzle Collection
Pier Solar
RE-DUX
Rocketron
Rush Rush Rally Reloaded
Satazius Next
Sturmwind
Supercharged Robot Vulkaiser
The Escapee
The Ghost Blade
Tough Guy
Volgarr the Viking
Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles
Wolflame
Xenocider
Zia
Another World
Battle Crust
FlashBack
Magic Pockets
Postal
Shadow Gangs

Being the publisher / distributor on these titles we could provide high resolution assets and ad copy for all titles that do not yet have assets. Just let me know how we can help / add to this project.

You can send me the art assets in a zip file thru private message. I'll work on adding them into the dat files.

Has the Cheat Codes been implemented into this yet , I read a few posts back Cheats where being added into it I hate the Xploder or CodeBreakers they crash and lockup VMU sometimes when adding Cheats and wipes the Codes.

I said myself awhile ago that CodeBreaker and Xploder which is the same thing basically cosmetic differences the VMU becomes useless when saving Code Changes ie edit or add new games/codes , It does not hand off the VMU it constantly saving.

Only solution is to either power off and hope saved correctly or unplug VMU and reinsert.
Both is bad in my opinion it is a serious bug and sometimes your codes and games you add get wiped and your back to adding them again.

So yeah I too would like to know if any progress on this feature.
