Chapter 5 - the other plugins

from now on, i'll jump randomly between all the game engines, trying to post something new/interesting to try imo

--- Broken Sword II - the smoking mirror ---

i'll start from the second chapter, only because it seems never came out a complete attempt in past on DC
(i remember a demo)
and also because i'm still trying to find a better solution for the annoying audio stuttering of the first chapter

this sequel seems working little better for that point of view, at the cost of all the short background jingles/tunes,
that i decided to remove in this first attempt, it seems to me the better compromise to have the smoother gameplay

also, this game SUFFERS a way to much using the latest ScummDC releases, so i have builded it with an older one;
the speech files have been compressed in .mp3, all to fit in a single disc

added to the scumm download section :

a new release of official ScummVM is out from today, so also for the loved Dreamcast
2.2.0 release, seems it's continuing to add some rpg too :

https://www.scummvm.org/news/20200927/

added games (on windows) :
Blazing Dragons
Eye of the Beholder - Sega CD version
Griffon Legend
Interactive Fiction games
Operation Stealth
Police Quest: SWAT
Prince and the Coward, English translation
Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar
Ultima VI - The False Prophet
Ultima VIII - Pagan

i'll try soon if some interesting things can be done with this, at least i hope so lol :)

Simon the Sorcerer Talkie version has been added to the download section :)
it's a variant of the game, that sadly has a worse running using the latest ScummVM releases
(audio talking) :

i don't know if i have a sixth sense, or maybe some at ScummVM read also DC-Talk forums,
but we were talking about ResidualVM (and Myst III) a couple of days ago, with @Anthony and @fafadou

so quite strange read this fresh news, on ScummVM forum :
https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15272

yes, ResidualVM is merging with ScummVM :!:
opening the doors for a couple of bigger games, like Grim Fandango, Escape from Monkey Island and Myst III

curious to wait if the Dreamcast would handle also this fork project

MONKEY ISLAND 2 - FM TOWNS
sadly never implemented correctly on ScummDC, full of glitches here and there,
yet the better release sound talking

here imo the better way to try it out (.cdi):
