Is there any "cons" involved after "making" a game wide-screen compatible ? Graphic bugs etc ?

Otherwise wide-screen seems like the best thing always if possible considering everyone has wide-screen telly's today ? (Almost)

Does anyone have the copy of f355 challenge where you can switch view from 1st to 3rd person? There was a hack version release a long time ago but it seems to be a unicorn because assembler site no longer host the file.

Simply switch by the widescreen code before running the game.

Does anyone know how I can contact Esppiral? I would love to ask him about this hack and what the possibilities would be for a widescreen (without 3rd person) hack on F355 for Naomi.

This would be a god send for future-proofing F355 arcade machines that have ageing CRTs that need to be replaced with LED widescreens.

I would need a way to decrypt the ROM, I am certain the hack would be quite similar but I can't patch Naomi ROMs due to their encryption

I do have wide-screen patches for Naomi games but only memory ones because of the before mentioned

Hi Esppiral! Thank you for replying to my message. I assume there are no decrypting tools for Naomi ROMS? Hopefully one day a widescren hack becomes available for this game.
