Seems SLX gave some boost on Kickstarter! To the author: Reduce the goal a bit so as to be more interesting for the people who wanna support the game on Kickstarter.

I can't change the goal amount, once a Kick is live, changing the goal is impossible :(
I would say to everyone who wants to back, just back, it might still hit the goal even if it looks improbable now, let's see.

It will be a good experience anyway for Shadow Gangs.

Well, seems like a lot of folks on the SLX chan seem to like it, although most seem to opt for the digital version. Oh well, it doesn’t count as kickstarter money, but at least you got that for all your hard work…

Digital version sales on Kickstarter will help too.
It's low compared to the others, but it's the easiest option, there is no shipping.

I should have made the trailer of the game all in scanlines the first time I published it. People seem seem that look...

It's reaching 10% now, I have a feeling if it reaches 50%, then things will get way better.

But for 50%, it needs another 600 backers or so...

It's all in the numbers of backers.

The problem is that large backer surges usually come at the very beginning of a Kickstarter campaign, or right when it's near or reached the goal.

I watched SLX's video (I'm a subscriber), but as others have stated, a common comment on the video is still the high goal amount.

I really, really want this to succeed. I really want to play it on Dreamcast, but I just don't see it happening. I know you have your reasons why the goal is so high, and they're legitimate, but the fact is most people just think about the goal amount and how much it will cost them personally, and not much beyond that.

It's really about how many people back the game.
I thought there will be easily 2000 backers, but that's not the case.
Let's see, the Kick is not finished.

Well, no matter how it turns out, even if it fails a company like WAVE or Josh Prod will prolly be happy to release it on disc (or they would be complete imbeciles :lol: ). And after that he will be a respected asset in the indie scene, considering the quality of the game and all. In time, a second game will do much better coz he will have gained the people’s trust.
