Hey guys, as you are well aware; Dynamite Dreams has come back on the development cycle.
This promising party game is still at very young stages and could do with all the support it can get - I know at some point one of the developers will join the site but in the meantime I thought we could head over to the Dynamite Dreams Facebook page and become fans.

Hello and thanks Dreamcastnews for this post !

I'm Patbier, the developer of "Alice Dreams" and "Dynamite Dreams" !

"Dynamite Dreams" is a fun and addictive multiplayer game. It's presented as a "bomberman-like" game, but it's more than a simple clone. We developped new gameplays and we use the VMU screen inside the gameplay !
Imagine you're playing with your friends, you're near to kill one player and suddently you see that the neon is blinking and the screen becomes dark ! The only way to continue the match is to play watching your VMU screen !

That's one of the great ideas that we implement in this game. We presented "Dynamite Dreams" in various retrogaming conventions. We set up tournaments and people really enjoy it !

The game is still in active developpement. It is 90% completed. We are two to develop the game : Poche is the graphist, and I'm the developer. We both have a "real" job, so we develop this game in our free time. We love the Dreamcast and we're near to have our dreams come true : to complete a Dreamcast game.

I try to post news and new screenshots every time I completed improvements in the game. Believe me, it's really helpful and motivating to have comments and Facebook fans ! If you support us, don't hesitate to give us a "like" and a comment !

Is poche still involved?

Also, is a commercial release planned?

I was actually a little bit worried this would be exactly a bomberman clone - but the idea to utilize the VMU sounds really cool! I'll follow this with interest :)

I think GOAT Store once announced that they'd bring it to the DC as a commercial release. I may be wrong, though, and this must be like 6 years ago or so.

Anyway, a commercial release would still be awesome!

It is going to be commercial, I think they've put in too much hard work for it not to be, I reckon RedSpotGames will handle the publishing since this is a European title.

Utilising the VMU in actual gameplay?! Now that's what I call a DREAMCAST game, for crying out loud! Great idea, more of that, please!
