Whoa wait what?! What is this game? Is it still in production? Is there a release date or a pre-order page? Why am I learning about this game JUST now?

It is very much still in production, 6 years strong. No pre-order page ready though because we are really, REALLY taking our time in making this perfect now. The game concept and design had to change but it's really brutal, unique, and character-driven.

Some time next year we might launch an IndieGoGo campaign to help push us into post-production - this thing is a lot bigger and grandiose than people give it credit for.

Here's a little wallpaper for anyone that wants it:

Ditto! Especially with Elysian Shadows coming out, I'm really looking forward to this. Great/exciting things happening for the DC! :D

Thanks everyone :3 We are really humbled by your support for this title. I know it's been in production for a long time but we're nearing the finish line.

I'm really glad Atari decided to shut down the original project in 2011. As fun as that was Harmony of Darkness eclipses that in ways I would have never imagined. Something completely original, dark and depressing (my life in a nutshell), and incredibly relatable (again, my life). This isn't the kind of game you play if you want to be happy and heroic (see Elysian Shadows for that), rather, this game is more like, say, The Cat Lady. It's dark, mature, cold, and lonely in this world.

Of course, the engine has made huge strides as well, and awesome third-party support (SLaVE comes to mind) makes it worth it.

I really believe that this game will set the standard for 3D graphics on the Sega Dreamcast for indies, though. We just got the MD5 support in (for the non-techie minded, that's the DOOM 3 model format). So, skeletal formats in reality more advanced than Half-Life's MDL. That means we have even MORE animation freedom than we did before.

Anyways...gotta stop rambling and get back to work ^_^
