Hey there! I followed RetroGameTech's youtube video where he put his DC in a yellow shell. I used my wife's hair dryer and a scalpel to peel it off the old dreamcast case, (came off with no hassle), and then super glued It to the blue shell as there is a spot for the old sticker on there! :)

Yup. This is usually the case (pun intended!) With these case shells. You take the insides of your standard Dreamcast, put em in the new transparent casing along with the logo sticker which can be easily removed much like the OP described it.

I took the sticker off of my broken dreamcast (this was many years ago), after buying a new one, and put it on my guitar. It's still on my guitar to this day. I think I just used a knife though rather than a hair dryer

There was a rare amount of 1st party replacement shells sold at one point and luckily i picked up a clear blue one when i bought bio hazard code veronica japan version with an 11 wire mod chip..
The way to tell 1st party from 3rd is by the windows ce logo on the front..

3rd party usually dont have all the writing that 1st party (oem) do since they dont have the rights to use em..

I was planning on making and using a Sonic logo for the DC logo.
Still have my launch 9/9/99 DC and still plays like new. 42 US titles to go.... UPDATE now only 8!!
