Challenge: Complete the first chapter on normal difficulty without using any continues.

Mode: Arcade
Difficulty: Normal
Life: 3
Controller: Regular or Light Gun (No turbo)

Complete this challenge to receive the Zombie Extermination Expert achievement.

I maybe able to play this if I can find the game up in my attic. PAL version is locked to 50hz on a normal TV but can up to 60hz via DC-X disc.

Sorry man but I can't accept your entry because you were using the turbo function on your controller. As stated in the rules in the first post you can use either a light gun or controller but no turbo is allowed. Auto-reload is fine although it's more of a challenge if you don't use it.

WOW! Negative. I used a standard DC controller! Positioned in the same way I play all my shmups on DC (left hand on the Dpad, and controller resting on my lap so my hand is above the face buttons as if I was using an arcade stick) I can assure you I was not using "Turbo" function of any sort (turbo function is garbage anyways). I can assure you, on my entire DC collection that I DO NOt and DID NOT use turbo! Please PM if I must in some way prove that I did not break the rules.... it's just a freak result of playing to many shmups in my life (rapid fingers)

Wow! I just tried your method myself and it works extremely well! I believe you. I just didn't think it was possible to shoot that fast without turbo. Just to be clear, I was never accusing you of cheating or anything but I just though you might have missed the "no turbo" clause. Anyway, nice job. You've earned yourself an achievement and a new nickname, "Turbo Fingers".

Great! Awesome i'm glad my name has been cleared and something has been learned all the while

I've been using this controller position for as long as i can remember (it works wonders when playing Metal Slug Anthology on a PSP and i also use it when playing Tekken series due to some elaborate button commands that cannot be pressed with only a right thumb). And No i did not miss the "NO Turbo" rules. I hate Auto Turbo devices (it don't help when i gotta play the exact console game in the arcade). Ah... thanks for the nickname... i guess LOL! can i just ask to have my "Momo" DC-T profile avatar replace my Gourmand avatar pic on my DC Live profile?
