Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
All we can do is hope for the best regarding the CDI format. I understand this may not be possible with most games due to it's cartridge origin. In my case, for me to properly play these games, I would have to strongly consider a different route other than my 100% pure original DC hardware like the SD Card/Dreamshell option. At least I would not be modding the Dreamcast.

Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
Give it some time, optimized CDI versions will come.
It's only been weeks since the release of the first port. We waited like 15 years for this, we can wait a couple more months.
Also, most Atomiswave fighters (which are probably the best games) are already on Ps2, is not like we can't play them at all.
And if you don't care about real hardware, there's always emulation.
So far, the only real interesting exclusive games (and I'm being extremely picky) are Dolphin Blue, Knights of Valour and The Rumble Fish 2. I guess I can wait some months for those.

Yeah, but we are in a Dreamcast forum for a reason. People who wish to play Atomiswave games in either PS2 or some other available version, already had plenty of years to do it.DavidMclindal wrote:Also, most Atomiswave fighters (which are probably the best games) are already on Ps2, is not like we can't play them at all.
Like you said, if we have waited some 15 years to play these games on Dreamcast hardware, then we can wait a little more to play them on burned discs. It's really worth the wait for some of us whose consoles collection are mostly consisting of Sega systems.

Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
not all were ever ported to any console or a ps2 some of these this is the first time to play them on any console
point being these are direct conversion of native dreamcast code and are arcade perfect .. not like a ps2 port that does not have a pvr chipset..

Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
friends be patient, at the moment there is no point in creating a CDI
current ports contain bugs and / or deficiencies
there is no point in wasting discs, the games will be improved
If you are anxious to try it, but you do not want to remove the GDROM or modify the console, then I recommend purchasing an SD adapter for the serial port, especially since you can play most homebrew games without burning them to disk

Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
some people say same ps2 versions looks like crap, i test both versions (3cdi dc vs 3iso ps2) and the difference is minimal to none, even ps2 version have extras plus better control , im looking only if can call him "exclusives" or "unreleased in consoles" like kov, r.fish 2, dolphin. B etc. My opinionDavidMclindal wrote:Give it some time, optimized CDI versions will come.

That would be awesome. Also disc art that can show up in GDEmu would be sweetbitboxgreg wrote:This is awesome. For those interested, I have a custom DVD cover made for KOF XI. I don't know if i'm allowed to post that here so let me know if you want it.

Re: Atomiswave to Dreamcast CDI releases centralization
I will look into that! I do not have a GD-Emu so I have no way of testing but I'll do some research and see what I can find.
