I'm using Padus Discjuggler to burn cdi images format for DC, it's the fav burning software for this kind of images since 2000s;
there are a plenty of posts about settings in the forum:

Mode 1/ DVD
2352 blocks
RAW Write enabled
Overburn Disc enabled
Add post-gap 3rd party images enabled
Burn at slower speed
