OK so I haven't experienced any freezes or anything but noticed that every time i lose a battle, the console resets and sends me back to the GDMenu. It's happened twice so far.

yeah that happened to me too. I was going to restart and play a different game anyway at that point

That happens even on the NAOMI convert, I assume it may be the rom itself that's at fault (I assume they get it from the NAOMI conversion), the rom may need to be decrypted again, perhaps even redumped.

Interesting, what do you use to dump/decrypt the rom?

It's kinda odd that both the NAOMI and DC converts have the same bug, given they use 2 different approach to run the same game.
