Re: Xenocider/Project Q
I think its true what they say about pre orders killing the industry, the Dreamcast being a recent victim of this. I am also currently waiting on Slave, ES, Alice and Sabre Riders. Though this is 3D and has a great soundtrack so far, I feel spread to thin in the pre order department. I want to support this and I still might if the goal is close to being reached. If not I will purchase a copy of the final product. It looks/sounds great!

Re: Xenocider/Project Q
I really don't want to sound harsh but what's the point in NOT supporting something unless you see it's going to succeed anyway? Your support is what makes a difference and may help it succeed. There may never be such thing as a final product if it doesn't. You know you are not charged ANY money unless the project is successfully funded, don't you?-drez01- wrote:I think its true what they say about pre orders killing the industry, the Dreamcast being a recent victim of this. You guys don't get the money if it doesn't reach the goal?! I didn't know that! Maybe why most projects I see on there are only asking for only like 5-10k even though they get a lot more than that most of the time... DXhombreimaginario wrote:... Re: Xenocider/Project Q
Of course we don't. That's what KS is all about. If you do your calculations and think you NEED that kind of money in order to create something, getting just half of it won't allow you to finish it. So you don't get it and and no one is charged anything.TacT wrote:You guys don't get the money if it doesn't reach the goal?! I didn't know that! If you are implying something, honestly I don't get it :\mazonemayu wrote:which raises the question why your game won't get funded in time (unless a miracle happens, let's be realistic about ishombreimaginario wrote:but none of them offered anything remotely similar before asking for your support... :\)

Re: Xenocider/Project Q
meaning that you did everything folks have been asking for years: make a game that is not just 2D, you even went as far to provide us with a playable demo so I was expecting it to be funded in a few days, but for some reason people do not seem to care about the game (which is a real shame imo)
We are SEGA generation.

Ah, thank you. Honestly I thought you meant "you should ask yourselves if your game looks like shit" or something like that xDmazonemayu wrote:meaning that you did everything folks have been asking for years: make a game that is not just 2D, you even went as far to provide us with a playable demo so I was expecting it to be funded in a few days, but for some reason people do not seem to care about the game (which is a real shame imo)

I didn't even bother with Shenmue III - which let's be honest was a pure money whore fest - but went as far as getting my own Mastercard to sponsor this.mazonemayu wrote:meaning that you did everything folks have been asking for years: make a game that is not just 2D, you even went as far to provide us with a playable demo so I was expecting it to be funded in a few days, but for some reason people do not seem to care about the game (which is a real shame imo)
Unlike some other DC publishers I like the fact that you guys actually like the console, and actively talk to your potential fanbase / fellow DC aficionados - that even sounded Spanish, lol. It's your genuinity that did it for me, and the fact that I think the game looks nice. Not that you guys don't do it for the money, to a certain extend. But I guess everyone needs to eat at some point... lol
Nothing tops the respect I have for Duranik and the high standard they set for aftermarket DC games, but it's a close call.
However, I do think the goal was set way too high. Let alone the stretch goals, which you have to admit are insanely high...

Re: Xenocider/Project Q
The Kickstarter was just started at a bad time for me. Ive got a vacation next month, and possibly another 2 months after that, so money is tight. I'd likely be a late backer if it was possible, but it would have to be way down the line, because im also in the process of getting my C64 working again as well as getting the remaining stuff needed for dreampi after my vacations.
