Old School FPS for DC

Post by TheCoolinator »

Hey,

I was just at DCISOZONE.com and I started downloading all the old school FPS games.

I got....

Quake
Quake 2
Shareware Version of Heretic (Want the full version)
Shareware Rise of the Triad (want the full version)
All the DOOM games

but I'm missing BLOOD, Redneck Rampage, and Shadow Warrior. I was just wondering if you guys know a site where I can download these two?

Thanks

You are quite welcome, if Tux can get those two games, I'll ask him about this one next. ;) Even if he can't get them, I'm still ask, lol.

Shadow warrior could be ported.

The blood source code isnt released and it probaly never will be so the hope of getting blood on the DC or any other platform exept dos/win95/win98 is only a dream right now.

Edit: the redneck rampage source code isnt avaible either...

Where do they get the source codes from? Can't they just get that in the CD?

im no programmer but as far as i know the source code is the code the game is based upon or something and that code only the company with the rights to the game have.

3D realms for example released their source code for Duke nukem 3d and shadow warrior so ports to newer os could be possible for examplehttp://www.eduke32.com/ or http://www.proasm.com/sw/swp.html witch are the best ports avaible for the pc atm for these games.

I love blood 1 its one of my favorite games of all time atleast when it comes to old school fps. The game companys just say they dont have the source code and stuff like that alot of bs if you ask me. here is alot of information about the tries various peeps have done to get the code released http://planetblood.deathmask.net/bloodsource/
