another problem thomrneo240 wrote:That's the power of pinesol baby!
i didn't get any errors when i made the mds however, when i made the cd the size was 719mb
when it created the mds it was 826mb and i can mount it,i tried to mount in demon tools but the image is non readable once mounted, also it wont load in nulldc and iv yet to get a plugin for loading off mounted,i then tried mounted and copy in dj but it tells me there is not enough space so save the file yet there is plenty on the hard drive, tried a few different locations but i cant make an image of it,it does come up in dj with the correct name.
unsure if it actually works or anything can be done with it
soo close yet so far

You arent using the modified mds4dc i made for you. Try the mds4dc-release.exe.paddyboy wrote:another problem thomrneo240 wrote:That's the power of pinesol baby!

When you run it the version will be 0.1b-MOD and the next line will say NeoDC, 2017.
It's a special image so needed a special custom tool, we made it just for you!

Also in nulldc you can type the drive letter in the file open box that pops up:
Instead of C:\dc\msr.mds you can put J:\ and it will load the mounted version (which is better than opening the image directly) change J for whatever letter is appropriately

Try it on Windows 7, it definitely works on Windows 10 and 8

Re: Guide: Extracting And Recompiling CDI Images
Compiled now, mounts and shows data,I tried to convert as still can't get null dc to load it,dj still said no space but I then changed options to ignore errors and made a cdi,the cdi loads and plays the intro and then crashes at the mr warning screen, burned this to a disc and also crashes on dreamcast.
I don't know if at this point audio would normally play,I didn't change the front end msr music tho so the original is still there I think but crashes
I think v done it all correct

Re: Guide: Extracting And Recompiling CDI Images
btw i recommend disc juggler 6.0, it what we use for most releases unless we are doing special stuff (not required for this) and we use 3.0 FTU
Second note as well,
All of this can be done on later operating systems or even 64 bit systems.
We started on wkndows 8.1 x64 but now use Win10 x64.
It's up to you though, but rest assured everything can be done without a virtual machine.

Re: Guide: Extracting And Recompiling CDI Images
I did transfer all the files over the share folder and ran the program in win x64 and it worked, compiled and is viewale, disc juggler still wouldn't make image unless I tick some boxes in advanced,I don't know if this is making the final dci not work or not.
I'm going to build another without modding and see if it boots fully
Again many thanks for taking the time with me !!!
