That looks amazing! 'Shadow Gangs' is turning out to have some of the best art on the DC.

Thanks, just to point that these pictures are the PC version. But, from what I saw when doing test levels on the DC, they may look as good or even better! on the Dreamcast, because of the colour reduction to 256, and maybe a CRT monitor.

Above showing an in game picture of the bridge level which will be level 2.

I just started implementing level 2, level 1 is finished in an very early alpha state.

It took me a little more than a month and half for level 1: gameplay, design code etc... (which is a long time, especially for the number of levels targeted at the end. But being the first level, a lot of things got implemented for it that will be reused for all the levels, so hopefully next levels will be faster to make).

Thanks guys.
I am very lucky to work with such a great artist. I actually tried/worked with over 60 (paid them all, even for test drawings) before taking the decision to continue with this one, and to have him do everything. (sprites, backgrounds, static screens etc...).
Apart from effects which are done by another great artist.

I am implemting now the bridge level, and wanted to share some early implementation of some of the action in this level.
Above picture shows James the ninja doing a level change to Dan on the bridge, and bellow it is a flying kick to Brix on bike.

The change of pace from level 1 to level 2 bridge is really exciting!.

That boss level really remembers me of one boss in Shadow Dancer in the Sega Genesis.

Yup. It looks great now. The old dan has been interned in a Siberian prison. Enter the new tougher Dan...

Thanks, yes old Dan is no more, bye bye :). Maybe, just maybe, if the game is successful I might put back in a redrawn better version (but still with same face and same outfit, as a choice for a player).

I also just finished level 2 the bridge, in a very rough alpha state.
It's packed with action from start to finish, way more than in level 1 new york.

Level 3 is the boss Collin level, this one is already AI done and enhanced. With added shader effects for the PC version.
I will start now the forest level, bellow is how it will look in general. More info on the website.

That's a dense forest; nice detail.
