HEY THERE , I KEEP TRYING TO PLAY AFO AND I STAY CONNECTED FOR A MINUTE AND IT SAYS I LOST CONNECTION WITH THE SERVER. ANY SUGGESTIONS.

You need port forwarding or DMZ for AFO or you'll get disconnected as soon as you join/create a game. See the bottom of the Connection Guide for details on that.

Dmz your dreamcasts isp not the pi. If its not working for you, then you have the wrong ip dmzd or port forwarded. Dreamcasts ip should end in 98.

Your pi should be plugged in directly to the router and not bridged through things like a computer.

Seems to be the #1 problem with new users is getting dmz or port forwarding properly setup. I think most people assume to dmz the pi instead of dreamcast or just ignore the step since some games do work without dmz.

Many thanks for this. I’ve struggled to get AFO online for years now. Tried a new router which has a much simplified DMZ option and used the DMZ instructions in the video above. Hey presto I can now play one of my favourite DC games how it’s meant to be played - online!

Nice, glad your having fun online! I'd join you but unfortunately my internet runs behind a CG-NAT so I can't DMZ or port forward lol
