Hmmm. Perhaps I've got the details wrong. As I say I use it with an MCable for reduced lag, so I'm likely getting the resolution show up based on the cable. Either way the Akura avoids the issue of the screen shunting to the extreme far top-left - something no VGA to HDMI converter has ever done (that I've tested).

I know someone will bash at me but...

I bought a kaico hdmi box for 25€ (i had a 5€ ebay voucher, generally it's 30€) and for as little as 25€ it produces the best image quality i've ever seen, the image is very crisp and i cannot really complain

I am no lag expert but doesn't seem to be any

The only downside is that it does not work on one of my samsung tv but i don't care cause i don't use that tv

Now, i don't know if it's better than an hanzo or an akura but surely for 30 bucks gives me an image my old vga box (the transparent one you can now find on ebay for about 50€) could only have dreamed for

Now bash at me for buying kaico products xD

I'm having the Bitfunx HDMI cable for Dreamcast, the graphic is same as VGA cable with slightly less over-contrast, the only downside is the stereo channel being reverse channel. The Left and right channel is reverse order and I have no ways to fix it. My RGB cable is working properly on the audio but for Bitfunx HDMI cable just seems weird. Any solution on it?

Still using my vga "cabou" cable until my compatible tv will passed away.
For me it's better than akura and other hdmi cable, those have a darker screen, like you notice.
Best result except fabulous dchdmi.
