please help ordering Modem

hello im new here. im trying to get my dream pi online and im brand new to this site and the whole dream pi thing. i have 2 dail up modems and they dont work. one is a zoom and ine only says made in china. some people say look out for fakes so im Kind of scared to order any. does this one look ok?

need a line voltage inducer if you dont have one already, fairly simple to make if you youtube it. i bought my modem here from pcwzrd13 although hes out of them at the moment. his have a built in line voltage inducer (LVI) so theres no need for one if you end up with his.

I believe as long as its linux compatible and is voice enabled it should work. I couldn't find that answer on the modem you shared though. You might ask the seller if its linux compatible.

for simple find problem use PC with this PC-DC server
this PC-DC have custom kernel patch for support china "Lenovo" and "CEIVA" modems

Correction linux + voice compatible. So that would explain why the modem you linked wouldn't work
