Gotta love how the DC version averages less than 2 FPS higher than PS2 and yet everyone in the comments section is like "woah DC runs much better than PS2"

I like playing this game on my Dreamcast, but I wish there was a mod to replace the DC soundtrack with the N64 version's soundtrack.

I didn't know the music for the N64 version was different. I'll see if I can do that ;)

Edit : sounds like the same music ? (the 2 Bassy.mp3 audio tracks are the same for example)

Dreamcast version : https://www.zophar.net/music/sega-dream ... -rush-2049

N64 version : https://www.zophar.net/music/nintendo-6 ... -rush-2049

Unless you mean San Francisco Rush - Extreme Racing ? : https://www.zophar.net/music/nintendo-6 ... eme-racing

Some of the tracks are shared between different versions, but many of them either play in different locations or are cut on DC.

For example, the menu music on N64...

And the menu music on DC

The menu music from the N64 version can be heard in the DC version, but only in the internet menu, and it's cut down heavily in length and stops playing after less than a minute.

And as you noticed, the track Bassy is in both versions, but on N64 it plays on the first course, while on DC it plays on an obscure battle map only playable in multiplayer mode.

This song is also in both versions, but the DC version is missing about 30 seconds of it around the 3:16 mark.

There are more examples but those are a few off the top of my head.

I looked how it looks, and it is .str files for audio ???
The same format as on PS1 ???
After that, it's still an adaptation of a PS1 game so why not.
I'll have to find tools to do that.
I have already looked in Audacity but it cannot open them correctly (speed too fast although I tried to change the frequency).
I'll keep you posted if it's easily doable.

From there I will need you so that you can tell me which music to put on which circuit (and which music it corresponds to on the Dreamcast game).
You mean for example Bassy music which is used on circuit 1 of the N64 (but bassy music is on the DC multiplayer mode), you should tell me which one to replace on the Dreamcast version.

It's an interesting project to do, but without your help I won't be able to achieve it ;)
