probably stupid of me to say this but I’ve always wondered if somehow, someway, recreation of the GD-rom format would be possible which, while it would be extremely helpful for more reliable homebrew/backup reading would be extremely difficult due to lack of time/budget/interest/documentation/feasability/etc.

It's not Dreamcast if it doesn't sound like a small monster is in your console chewing away at somethingSavlon wrote:Vgesoterica wrote:yesterday I was capturing some Dreamcast footage and my wife walked in and heard the GD-Rom drive and said "is your thing breaking"....

Yeah I agree. It's obsolete because of Gdemu like Ian Micheal likes to talk about but its interesting anyway.mettaton wrote:probably stupid of me to say this but I’ve always wondered if somehow, someway, recreation of the GD-rom format would be possible which, while it would be extremely helpful for more reliable homebrew/backup reading would be extremely difficult due to lack of time/budget/interest/documentation/feasability/etc.
Is there a way of having Gdemu installed alongside a real GD drive, switchable?
