No Dial Tone :(

Hi all!
I know the re are a lot of people asking the same but I can’t figure out how to solve it!

So, I live in Italy but my dreamcast is JAPAN ( i swap the PSU with a Pal one )
I have a Rasp 3 with dreampi ( the last one)
And i use a V.TOP usb modem and the Lights are both green. Sono think everything work...

I see the IP and if i do the ping test I can see the dreampi

But when i try to connect the game ( quake 3 ) said no dial tone..

Any suggestion?

Are you using a line voltage inducer or just a standard phone cable? If you're just using a regular phone cable then it won't work as there is no voltage being passed down the phone line, hence the 'no dial tone' and 'under-voltage detected' errors you've been getting.

In using a standard phone cable, I understood that i need only that cause my console is NTSC\JAP.
Is The line voltage inducer for pal only?

I run the command “Sudo .dreampi.py —no-daemon”

U might pm pcwzrd13 he can quickly diagnose and fix your issue. Pal modems do require more voltage to use than ntsc modems

When you said pal modem do you Mean the internal modem of the dreamcast ? Cause is NTSC the dreamcast. Il try to pm @pcwzrd13!!

Hi!!! Every Dreampi needs power, the Pal more than the NTSC ones, but the LVI is needed too to emulate the dial tone. I used ago a time a Jap Bios moded Dreamcast and worked in the same way, the important is the modem, if is PAL or not to put one voltage or another.

Update: pcwzrd13 send me the new router with the Line voltage for PAL.

I tried to connect and the dial now works.
But i still not be anke to play
