Hi guys, new too the forum but long time DC owner.
I have an issue with my DC when i wiggle the port 1 controller plugs it sometimes disconnects.
All other ports are fine and no issues.
Tried multiple controllers.
I know about the resister repair but I don't think it's that as it works fine unless i move the plus in port 1.
Does anyone know how to fix this permanently?

Because when the cable moves the plug moves.Roareye wrote:Why are you wiggling the plug while the console is on?
Once it started pausing games and telling me the controller was disconnected I needed to track down if it's a controller or console issue didn't I?
That involves replicating the problem for trouble shooting.

Re: Intermittent controller drop out
I had this issue with a Dreamcast before. Tried just about everything including resoldering all the connections on the controller board but nothing worked. Ended up just replacing the controller board altogether. I'm guessing it has something to do with the pins inside the controller port not making good contact with the controller connector.

Got the same issue on one of my Dreamcasts , luckily its only port 3. Maybe i should try to use some kind of electric connection spray on itpcwzrd13 wrote:I had this issue with a Dreamcast before. We need a replacement controller board similar to the picopsu or gdemu

Re: Intermittent controller drop out
yeah, replace the connectors with USB, and in the controllers replace the wires from the USB extension cords
