I bought a PAL Dreamcast to install a USB-GD ODE.

I wish I had gone with NTSC.

I would say about 60Hz of NTSC games, on the PAL console, load in 50Hz, and I need to use Code Breaker to force them to 60Hz.

I do not feel like modding the hardware to correct this. But it is a PITA.

I would just get a vga or hdmi cable then you don't have to worry about 50hz or 60hz

I get this suggestion a lot. I don't have a spare VGA monitor which I can use. And while I do have a very nice Kaico VGA/HDMI adapter for Dreamcast, which works well on my 1080 HDTV, I prefer to use the DC on my Sony Trinitron CRT. It's not quite PVM quality, but it's still fantastic.

I'm a big fan of old lightgun games, so in order to play the 5 on DC, plus the Atomiswave ports, I need to be running this on a CRT via RGB SCART.

Sure, if you're playing it via VGA/HDMI, then the 50Hz problem is not an issue, but for those using an old-school solution like CRT, the PAL system sucks balls.

Thank god for Code Breaker. So far it's been able to boot almost every single problem title, with only a couple of small exceptions.
