Dreamcast Games you play Online: none yet, didn't realize this was around. Figuring it all out, but I still have my DC and games.

 I feel that way about just about every readme I've come across since joining. All a bunch of greek until it isn't. However with ussload I didn't even find a readme. I must have the wrong download

I think I grabbed ussloader last night about 1 am. Popped it into winuae because I don't know what else to do with it, and after a few second clicking some buttons it froze. I was tired so i just played some Road Rash Amiga CD16

I have this:
ussload.zip
(21.84 KiB) Downloaded 174 times
It's only in a zip because the forum won't allow a .lha extension. I didn't actually download a zip.

So, first step for me, I think, is asking youse guys if that's even the right thing. TBH, I don't know what a lha is I only loaded it in winuae because I didn't know what else I could possibly do with it.

you have already the harder part, updating that rabbit hole uae4all code lmao

if can be useful, i'm mostly proceeding in this way (for the autoboot) :
- checking if the Amiga game use the extra memory (scanning also in different cracks, originals if in ados format, etc)
- checking if it use also the external floppy drives (same added scanning as previous point)

all the games that match both points are the better candidate to start from
- i set up winuae on pc, first setting it to emulate an A500+ ,kickstart 2.0 ,1.5MB chip, and two or three drives enabled
- i play a bit in the game, in mode to preload something
- i save the state in winuae, that generate an .uss compressed file
- if the uss file is bigger than 400/450 KB (almost 900 KB uncompressed), it will not work reloaded via uae4all 2MB Dreamcast
- any state under that size should be ok
- to make work that bigger (in size) states, require to setup again winuae for an A500+ ,ks2.0, 1 MB chip, and make a new savestate

after this first step, you need to create an empty .adf disk, and put into the ussload file and the .uss filestate
- to reach to copy the files into the disk, i use the winuae savestate directory as a virtual hard disk (mounting it during the set up), and then i use the workbench disk or the Directory OPUS disk, to use the standard dos commands (dir, copy)

the final step is to add a startup-sequence in the disk, and adding the single line "ussload 'namefile'.uss nowait" into

---
hope it could be somewhat useful :)

Is the FMV meant to move on on its own if you don't press start?

Still working on that as i had idea where i wanted it to stop for something but still there lol and i did not do that idea .. My mum is back in the hosp in australia today so cant really feel good working on things right at this moment..

It's not a big deal. I've been cracking away trying to complete the game for the past few days but I can only get 10-15 mins at a time atm until it's late so my progress is slow. That said, took me over 10 plays to notice and even then when i did I thought "I think everyone knows and I was told this but I'll make sure"

I can verify, in case no one else has done it yet, the game works fine through level 2. All races, sounds, everything is good and the only glitch I've seen is the known second or two freeze here and there.

I've not been able to get the same freeze in the same place twice. Dunno if that helps at all or not. It seems random to me.

Emulator stuff that really doesn't matter but might be interesting-

You can double up on emulator fast forwarding. Super fast load screens. Use with caution as I did get total freezes from it - Old, stable, Redream

If you use DC emu savestates and freeze yourself up you can load state and it'll run fine. TBH though I never got demul frozen up and I didn't try null

And just for redream users who like nice box art on their interface, if you savestate, then go into saves and find the picture/screenshot of the savestate, which is done for you when you save, copy the name but leave out the .X.estension. for example if it is named abc.1.png, you drop the .1 for just abc.png for the name of your art and move it to cache folder. If you want to use Ian's included art, which you do, resize it to 512x512 and name it properly then pop it into cache.

Has anyone tried to buy a new bike yet?

I can use the on screen keyboard to press f3 and get to the bike selection just fine but then I'm stuck in a loop, it just keeps reloading the bike selection.

Just looking the gamesreup video.
The framerate is awesome ! Better than megadrive version for me.
Th sond is very good too, not a big deal for music, I don't like them very much from the original megadrive game.
Great job !!
