Hey folks,
Anybody know the VMU battery cover screw size? Been to 3 local hardware stores, and none of them have the right size. Thanks!

Re: VMU Battery Cover Screw
Looks to be a metric thread- makes sense since it's Japanese..
I just tooke some measurements for you.
Thread size is M2 x 0.4mm
Weird length though. 7mm.
And has a shoulder which is uncommon.
6 and 8mm length look like a more common length.
It's Phillips drive.
Pan Head.
Zinc Plated.
Looks like there's clearance in the VMU to use 8mm.
Something like this would work:

It could probably be found in other electronics and toys if you can harvest something.
Or scour AliExpress to find the exact thing.

Re: VMU Battery Cover Screw
Upon closer inspection the screw is unnecessarily long.
You could probably use anything 2-8mm

Alright! Thanks again for the assist. Got these and they fit great. Prime-Line 9130663 M2-0.4 X 6mm.
Can find them in a few places for $2 for a 10 pack. They look bad in the photos, but are perfect looking in person.
