How can I hexedit Resident Evil2 save file(VMS)

I tried to hexedit vms save file of Resident Evil2, referring to below Guide.I think I found correct hex address for each item which I want to edit(Bow Arrows:0C ##,Hand Gun Bullets:14 ## , Grenade Launcher:09 ##) But After Hexediting, It always fail to recognize save file in RE2 gameplay..

I guess that There must be some kind of CRC or protection mechanism which prevent me from hexedit save file.
Is there anyone who is able to hexedit RE2 save file and it succeed to recogine in gameplay of RE2?
