Kaico HDMI - Strange problem..?

I have a really strange issue with the Kaico HDMI adapter. It works on my Dreamcast - BUT ONLY If I push Start on th DC and then turn it off and then on again..?? If I just turn the DC on there is no signal to the TV..?

Anyone else experienced this?

Yeah it's signal output is weird. Mine cuts off the entire boot up sequence. I'm thinking of Upgrading to an Akura that way I can play some Non VGA games too.

I think that's just a consequence of the conversion process going on, it takes a while for the chips these things use to 'lock on' to the sync signal of the Dreamcast but once they do it can handle being reset and maintain output.
