I completely forgot about that wheel. I'll have to look into it. Thanks!Anthony817 wrote:That old official Microsoft branded 360 wireleess racing wheels used to be really good, though nowadays most high-end wheels surpass it. I know I was enamored with that wheel like 15 years ago and just forgot about it over time. I bet you could maybe find one nowadays for under $50. They used to be priced at $100 brand new I believe.DCGX wrote:Walmart actually has it for $20 less at $99.99

I was thinking of getting an Xbox 360/Xbox One compatible wheel to then use the WingmanSD with for Dreamcast. I'm woefully unknowledgeable about wheels though.
I see some listed here for that price. Honestly, that sounds like a hell of a deal for a quality built wheel to me. Though if looking to spend more you can get all kinds of good wheels.

This one will work with the Xbox 360 Console and MAY work with the WingmanSD (untested afaik). It does work with the WingmanSD.DCGX wrote:I completely forgot about that wheel. I used an xbox 360 Logitech DriveFX wheel through a Wingman SD on my DC when I had one. It's a faux feedback wheel, with the rumble motors providing some rotary resistance and feedback through the wheel. It's not a true FFB wheel but it worked really well in Daytona.DCGX wrote:Walmart actually has it for $20 less at $99.99

Yep. This one also works with the WingmanSD. Tested OK with 240p Test Suite. 180 degree turn axis and some buttons + paddles are programmable. Sensitivity is fixed. Deadzone size of the wheel is fixed and small. Combined with the large deadzone of the WingmanSD, deadzone is noticeable during gameplay, but it's not a deal breaker. No noticeable input lag. Supports vibration.

FWIW - I've had my Thrustmaster T300RS working on the Dreamcast via a Cronus DriveHub and the WingmanSD USB adapter. Needs a little remapping, but I was happily playing Daytona with it.
No FFB obviously, but worked perfectly otherwise.
