Hello
I'll post if here since it's probably the suitable subforum:
Some times ago I discovered that a guy was able to convert the Skies of Arcadia Pal VGA patch made by "japanese cake", into a working Codebreaker code, to use with PAL retail copies of the game.
Something that seems impossible and probably it's still widely unknown to a part of the DC community.
https://www.reddit.com/r/skiesofarcadia ... _code_for/
I tested the code, it works perfectly apart for one issue (that I recently discovered it's an issue that comes from the japanese cake patch directly):
SOA video and audio are not synchronized, with video being too fast compared to the audio (that seems to maintain the correct speed instead).
It can be tested in the game intro, when you can see that the cutscene ends way ahead before the music ends.
Now I'd like to find a solution to fix this, as I guess there is some way to find a Code breaker code to actually "slow down" only the video and make it run at the original 50Hz PAL speed.
Unfortunately I don't have a clue about how to do it, so that's why I call for the help of the experts of Codebreaker codes.
This is the SOA PAL VGA code:

Re: Skies of Arcadia VGA Codebreaker 60-50hz speed fix, help?
yeah I guess it's not that easy.
I suppose the issue could be engaged in two ways:
1-finding a code that regulate only the video speed, leaving the sound speed untouched. I guess it's doable since codebreaker and action replay had "speed" cheats.
2-modifying the japanese_cake patch (this VGA code is based on that) so the video and audio are syncronized.
After that the code could be converted for Codebreaer, like the Anon already did.
As I read that the patched Iso of SOA has just the same sync issues, correct?

I didn't know if it's possible easily to switch between 50Hz and 60Hz, in others version US and JAP all videos output are in 60Hz.

yeha, but I guess that it's impossible to get 50Hz from Dreamcast in VGA mode.
That's why probably the issue should be addressed IMO by changing the game actual speed, finding a code that leave the audio as is and ony slow down the video and gameplay.
