I bought a Japanese DC on ebay earlier. It is from Japan so it is NTSC-J. I am unsure if NTSC-J Dreamcasts can safely plug into a UK / IE socket (I live in Ireland but we use the same electric voltage as England iirc which is 230V)
Idk how to get a UK or Ireland PSU and I also want to get a BIOS chip so I can play back-ups & games from every region.
I seen the back of a JP DC which says it's 120V even though google says Japan's V is 100.
Does anyone know if it'd be safe to plug a Japan DC in? Would it blow up? Where can I get the PSU and BIOS chip?
Thanks in advance!

How do I mod a DC to work in UK / IE sockets and with a new BIOS chip?

You can either buy a replacement PSU for PAL models and simply swap it out, or getting a stepdown converter. They are changeable regardless of region. For bios you can do this mod.

Japanese cake made a really nice bios where he added new options in the dreamcast dashboard as well.
