Recently installed my GDEMU and figure it's also worth replacing the 20+ year old Thermal Pads (though I've played a few hours of games without issue, so maybe not?). In my searching I can't seem to find a consensus answer so I'm hoping to clarify, 1.5mm for the top chips and 1.0mm for the chips on the underside of the mainboard is correct? Been looking at Thermalright and Gelid Pads rated at 12w (12.8 W/mK), would those be good replacements?
Thanks!

Re: Clarifying Thermal Pad size
These three seem to recommend those sizes. For being a consumable part, I'm surprised this isn't a more popular mod.

Re: Clarifying Thermal Pad size
I used guaranteed 1 mm pads for the upper part for the lower part I don't remember.

Thanks! It is a bit odd. Almost makes me think it's not that necessarily given we don't hear about many consoles kicking the bucket due to heat?OatBob wrote:These three seem to recommend those sizes. For being a consumable part, I'm surprised this isn't a more popular mod.
