GG ALESTE 3 is such a good game! I really want to play it in my DC like this!

There's a newer version of patched Aleste3 running around with the ch3 melody working, so those chiptunes sound meatier again like the OST

And a video of Aleste3 running in Dega with PSG Enhancement, which is kinda interesting for the reverb effect

There's a GG3 patchfix at RetroAchievements/RAPatches Github, but it's missing the final update which a hacker explained to me.


Music fix:
- C66A = 0x3A (ld a - read)

Put 0xFE back to these locations:
- C79A, C8A1, C8B0, C942, CA6E, CAD2, CB65, CB74, CC06
(matches noise channel, which uses correct untouched code)


Hope we get a new DC patchfix update.

Sorry the perhaps dumb question... What does applying these changes to the patched-for-real-hardware GG ROM do? Based on what you said, there was a problem with the CH3 music?

For reference, I grabbed the original patch released in July of 2023.
