I think changing the texture of the characters' faces ends up not being a good idea! I am aware that it is just an exercise to see how far you can go with the modifications and for that reason it is a very valid exercise. But we can see that it really distorted the characters' appearance a little, throwing them straight into the "valley of uncanny". Imo.

That is without any lighting applied! That's not how it looks with the new textures.

Definitely stick with the shiny eyes! Just wondering, can you apply specular highlights to the eyes?

Nope, the effect is painted over the texture.

That must've been an artistic choice. Probably stood out too much. I think they still do the eye shine as a texture to this day, if I'm recalling correctly

Please change Exciter for How Do You Feel. I'll even give you the ADX right here.

Pretty much impressed with your Art Department again shows what the hardware & this one game can do. Anyone can freely design & redo these costumes freely with the Texture Packers & Blender here. I can just barely repaint up the colours on Photoshop. The hair & faces that does indeed take extra careful time. Hopefully all comes together on how you want it come the New Year.
