openMenu is so cool, thank you to everyone who's been working on it.
I noticed that automatic VMU switching with a VM2 in a DreamConn+ seems to not work. Is it not possible with this controller?

most likely dreamcon+ does not give full access to the vmu so openmenu does not see vm2, contact Chris, he created both devices and should know how to fix this

Re: openMenu Alpha 1
Megavolt, as I got a GDEMU this week I'd installed Openmenu and had a question.
if I choose the SCROLL option I then see folders #-Z, which is so much better than just a huge list of games.
Do you know if there's any plans to be able to add custom folder names / tree to this?
My current setup in my MODE looks like this, so this is the kind of thing I'm thinking off when asking the question: I appreciate that it would likely take some amendment to Soniks GDMENUCardManager, or a standalone tool so you could virtually arrange the games into folders and then possibly have it save it as a csv/txt file with the folder structure that OpenMenu then reads.

HI Guys, OpenMenu is cool! Thanks, with the program you can put all the custom covers you want and add the description, so even Homebrew or external games can have covers!
I have a question
on Gdemu we have these tools, do you know if it is possible to do the same for the Saturn with Mode or is there a program that opens db_sat.bin? unfortunately they removed it from the download a long time ago and it is not fully updated, many covers are missing, the games with eng patches or demos as well, thanks for any info ^^
I have a question

Re: openMenu Alpha 1
The cover databases for the MODE were closed source. when they still existed online you could amend any entries if they were missing a cover etc but you were never able to add new ones.Metro City wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 3:31 pm HI Guys, OpenMenu is cool! TLDR: you're shit out of luck.

Re: openMenu Alpha 1
This is correct. The DreamConn+'s receiver dongle is hardcoded to report a standard VMU is present, not a VM2. Chris would have to update the receiver itself in order to support openMenu's virtual VMU switching with the VM2.megavolt85 wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 11:01 am most likely dreamcon+ does not give full access to the vmu so openmenu does not see vm2, contact Chris, he created both devices and should know how to fix this

Re: openMenu Alpha 1
I want to say a big thank you to mrneo240 and Sonik for openmenu and the tools to update it
I've added cover images and meta-data to over 80 new titles on top of what was in the official pack, mostly JP releases that are manageable to play by a non native speaker, or those with translation patches available. I also updated dozens of older entries that had images and were missing meta data or simply were missing things like VMU blocks.
I figured I'd share if anyone else is interested in using this:
