My time and date are right and I tried port forwarding 25565 udp, tcp and tcp/udp so im kind of stumped, i upgraded to the latest dreampi firmware and redownloaded the game too.
Very sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting. I know it can fail and take a few try's when trying to connect to the server. Sound's let you got all the settings right and you did change options so the graphics settings are set to max30fps and the view distance of 128? Have you tried direct connect? For the top line you would need to enter your Sega_Dreamcast, then the next line are servers connection (the picture shows it) and the last line blank. Hopefully this might help. I know it might be frustrating when it takes many times to connect but keep on trying. Because my battery is dead in my Dreamcast, what I do because even sometimes I fail when connection on BBA I turn of the console for like a second then turn it back on and the date and time is still saved. This might save some time for you but anyways good luck man. You'll get on the server eventually :)

I wonder why it won’t try and dial though, I’m sure in the future I’ll get on but maybe that won’t be until dreampi support is worked out more

True. It still very much needs to be worked on. You can continue trying the way you have done it before of just wait till this game gets another update. I got on before so I know it's possible for you too. It's just that this game was never meant to work with modem so that's why it can be having a hard time

Classicube has been updated, just a minor update but still some changes. Like a new starting point on the map and some new mini games. You can download the new version here: https://www.classicube.net/download/dreamcast

Today PC stream Classicube and we had 7 to 9 players join us! Also Sega Guru has a video about all the updates that have been made to the game recently. You can check out both video's in the links below. Also I wanted to say if you play the game on Dreamshell the textures don't display currently and you get a bland look to the game. But we all know how the game really looks. More updates to come to Classicube Dreamcast Edition

Figured out the textures with DreamShell! It still won't load the textures from the GDI/CDI but you can load them from an SD card by putting the zip file in the \CLASSI~1\TEXPACKS directory (the game creates this directory automatically when booting the game with an SD card reader and an SD card inserted). I've attached the GDI in addition to the separate DEFAULT.ZIP texture pack for anyone wanting to play this in DreamShell. It loads with mostly default settings but you need to select "Homebrew" as the Binary OS.

Edit: The CDI actually seems to work now! The initial release of the Dreamcast version didn't work with DreamShell but the latest one does. You still need the texture pack on the SD card but you can use the CDI instead of the GDI.

It was so nice to be joined by fellow Dreamcast community members on the server. Sonic and myself have established a little community on ClassiCube, but yesterday just felt different. Thanks for the stream PC.

I just wanted to add that ClassiCube is updated very frequently so unfortunately, soon the dreamshell file will be out of date. It is recommended to always check the website for the latest release. Gdemu and burning the CDI are the prefered method of connecting. But nice to see dreamshell in action!

Big server side update coming soon!
