Actually my first msg here...I am currently in the process of getting my Dreamcast online and a thread from last year got my attention, where the author recommends a particular modem by ASHATA. However, I've encountered numerous seemingly identical modems across other platforms (eBay, Aliexpress), some of them being cheaper (and likewise some of them being more expensive), a lot of those articles also use the same pictures/part numbers.
Am I to understand all those are the same model using the same chip?
If anyone else uses/used them, could you please share your feedback on them? The original poster of the thread above commented that the ASHATA one had all the needed features for it to work with DreamPI/PC-DC, so I'm curious to find out if the rest of them also are...
