So I have a DC Digital/GDEMU v5.15 modded
Dreamcast which is a PAL VA1, it's running a stock PSU.
I get intermittent audio and when the audio drops out
NO game will boot on the GDEMU, we've tried booting it with the original GD-ROM drive and the audio issue still persists, the DC Digital has been reflowed and shows no X's on the OSD/VMU.
If I unplug the console for 5 minutes and physically remove the PSU the audio/games work when it's put back together.
After some gameplay and a power cycle however, I can randomly lose audio and no game will work again.
Repeating the PSU removal, wait and reinsertion will bring the audio back.
Continuity from the sound chip has been tested and all checks out well. I have cleaned the power pins with abrasive pads and still no dice.
Also I cannot get audio with a PicoPSU with a recommended power cable installed at all. No matter what we do.
Please can someone help with this as I'm literally at wits end can someone please guide me lol

At this point, I would recommend re-capping the power supply and motherboard.

Re: Dreamcast nightmare!!
I’ve sent it to the guy I bought it from and I think he’s gonna change the caps for the audio, fingers crossed it fixes it!
