Instead of canceling the game and refunding everyone. Why don’t you just release the source code to the community and let the community finish the game? I am sure there are many devs who would be happy to help.

Some assets, mainly my Uncles image, the sound effects and music are copyrighted. I’m releasing everything I can under GPL 3.0 though, including various documents, concept art, etc.

Released or not, I feel guilty for the money. And I did want to eventually do a physical release, and already have art ready for it.

Releasing the source code under GPL 3.0 lets the community help finish the game. Offering refunds and considering Spotify music for the soundtrack could ease the situation. You’re doing what you can to move the project forward.
