I'm in the UK and picked this up from a local retro gaming shop who wasn't sure if it worked. Brought it home and gave the outer case/screen a clean up as it was flithy but when I stuck it in a pad it doesn't pop up in the memory card menu or read on any other controller. I stuck a battery in but nothing happened and when I opened it up this morning there was a small piece of loose metal rattling around inside, I don't know how to repair something like this and because its official gear seems a shame to just get rid so wondering if this can be fixed?

Re: VMU Problem/possible repair?
Unless you have the tools, Id say its beyond economical repair.
If you want DM me your address and I'll throw a VM your way. I have tons of spare white ones.
