Re: The new proposed "VM2" from Chris at DreamMods.net
I'm trying to update the firmware of my vm2, but I have some issue :
My vmu is connected as "strem-only mode" in the GUI window.
In the utility I want to do an update the firmware but it requested a *.vm2fv file but I didn't find any on the internet...
Could you help me please ?

Re: The new proposed "VM2" from Chris at DreamMods.net
You have to put the VM2 into GUI-mode (from Settings menu > System).
Then you run the GUI and it will detect as in GUI-mode.
In this mode, the GUI will automatically check the server for new FW updates and prompt you to update if a newer FW version is available.

Thanks for answering dear Chris, I enable the gui-mode on the VM2 but still the same issue.
It's detected not in the good mode, should I do a factory reset ?

You're welcome!
Yes, if your FW version is older than 1.2.4 and you're running a newer version of the GUI, then you need to do a Factory Reset. Then the VM2 will automatically be detected by the GUI and prompt you to download the latest FW from the server. Please note that the Factory Reset does not affect the memory or SD contents, so no worries on that.

Re: The new proposed "VM2" from Chris at DreamMods.net
It's ok I could update my VM2 !
During the process, it created a .vm2fv file with the id of my vm2.
I could save my vm2 on the computer too.
Last issue is with the memory tab and utilities tab, I can't be able to explore the content of my vm2...
Do you know if it's a knowing issue ?
May I can find an other tool ?
And last question do you know if the vm2 is compatible with an overclocked dreamcast ?
For me, with the original firmware it wasn't.
Anyway, thank you very much

Re: The new proposed "VM2" from Chris at DreamMods.net
Glad that the update worked!
About not being able to explore the contents, you mean the SD card? (uSD Explorer)?
The VM2 is not compatible with overclocked Dreamcast.
