DC Motherboard schematics?

Post by xxMarka »

Would anyone here happen to know of a complete schematics diagram of the DC's motherboard?

All I could find was this, but it isn't complete:

I am asking because I just bought a defective DC, and found that two capacitors were blown, so I am trying to determine what kind to replace them with.

All the capacitors show the current voltage and resistance (in µF). Just get the same types and you are ready to go

These are the things that are blown:

My friend has no idea what "X" stands for, we aren't even sure they are capacitors. Any idea?

The long, pipe-like metallic objects are resistors. These are often not needed EXCEPT when they protect something crucial of overcharges. To see if they have been blown up, just drop a solder point over the 2 points this resistor is connected. If it works, you can either leave it like that or get a replacement.

The other ones, the round metallic ones, are capacitors. You HAVE to use the same rating ones, but you can use either the compact ones (the ones in the pics) or the normal ones, like THIS one.

I bridged them, and now it doesn't output any video, so I am just replacing it. Everyone here is so helpful =]
