Daytona USA Progress

Does anyone tried the DAYTONA USA Arcade Music & Sounds V1.4 by TD ? I burned the .cdi, tried it on my Dreamcast and it didn't work. For me, the online experience should be much nicer with those arcade sounds ? or maybe not ? I have a .cdi file with online features on but it does not have the arcade music. Can someone help me with that ? Anyone got this working ? If there is nothing to do I will just play the original USA game.

I have a feeling previous arcade sound mods had the online mode removed due to disc space. I’m hoping to have an arcade sounds mod of my own out in the coming months, with online play and widescreen support if it’s possible, so maybe watch this space.

I am gonna use the vanilla version of Daytona USA. With new servers going on, it's interesting to have these features into online mode. I tried my cd-r with the Utopia bootdisk, and it does nothing. I'll watch this space.

Trash your Utopia, CDIs that don't selfboot have no optimization, cooks optical drive quickly

Daytona Echelon is amazing it's the only one with web browser intact that is needed to download a save to go network playing. I'd even compared with my genuine GD-R and sounds just the same

Any idea how to download this file which is required for online play? No matter what I try, I can't download it. I tried different game image files. I have DMZ enabled...

From the game's main menu, I go to Homepage, click on "download file..." and it gives me an error. Where am I wrong?

There are two spots to download it at, if you click on the "Key" icon it should take you to a battle key registration page where you login with your dreampipe account and it will give you a key. Or on the main page clicking downloads - > Get Access Key will also take you there. Have you made a dreampipe account yet?

If you have a Dreamcast web browser disc you can simply go to daytonausa.dreampipe.net -> then click Downloads -> Get access key. From there you'll see a link to sign up for a dreampipe account , then after you login you can get your battle key.

I'm not quite sure where to obtain Echelon CDI's, there might be a source on archive.org. I've long resorted to using .GDI's using my USB-GDRom device.

Entering the URL manually launched the Daytona site I hadn't seen before and I was finally able to download the key. Thanks a lot!
