"Boot up the disc, then with the phone line unplugged choose the "Connect to WebTV" option at the bottom of the menu, and select "Register". After a bit, the connection should error out. Choose "Phone Setup", then "Basic", and toggle the checkbox labeled "Tone dialing". Now plug your phone line back in and try connecting again. With any luck you should properly dial in and be taken to registration."

They have an custom dreampi image, i looked into to see what is different and is a set of iptables rules, to forward the original IP to the new servers. Attached, need run on dreampi or pc-dc when you want to use with WebTV OFFICiAL GD-ROM.
OR
You can flash their raspberrypi image just for WebTV.

Cool. I was wondering what was different between the standard DreamPi distro and theirs to get WebTV DC working.
I will be implementing the new IPTable built-in into my modified DreamPi DX NOOBS image, for WebTV support.

This restoration project is awesome!

I'm going to give this disc image a try later with a standard DreamPi.

EDIT: Working great when I follow the steps in the original post.
