Sega tetris connection issues

Recently my friend and I tried to play sega tetris online but no matter what I try, we keep getting a connection error after we both ready up. We were able to play the game just fine before and both of us have all of the ports open for the dreampi. The only thing that is different between our setups is that one of us is using a gdemu and the other just has a burnt disc.

Has anyone else had any issues with multiplayer between gdemu and discs?

Are yall both using the Translated version of the game? I dont think that should matter but just curious.

Yeah we both are using the same version of the game. We've even tried the GDI and CDI versions on the gdemu.

Try the DCnet servers instead and see if that helps. You won't need port forwarding to use it. It's super easy to setup.

That didn't seem to fix it. As a weird side note, the dreamcast online page always reports me as playing the gundam game and in maximum pool my friend can connect and shows that he is playing that game but the server list is empty for him.

Humm is your dreampi up to date? Maybe reflash with 1.9 again just to rule out something wonky

Dreamcast online should shows the last game you played until you play something else so for whatever reason it's not picking up that your playing Tetris.
